Alloy cast steel rolls are manufactured using high-quality steel melted in an arc furnace. With advanced casting and thermal treatment techniques, these rolls offer exceptional strength. Their outstanding properties include resistance to heat cracking, toughness, and wear resistance, making them suitable for rough and intermediate section steel rolling machines, hot rolling strip steel rough rolling stands, and as backup rolls for hot rolling strip steel. The metallographic structure is composed of pearlite or tempered sorbite. These alloy steel rolls are widely used in the BD mill and roughing stands of heavy section mills, universal mills, and rail & beam mills. Due to the deep grooves on the roll body, they are produced through static casting. The low carbon content ensures minimal graphite and carbide presence in the microstructure.
