On March 7th, INVISTA's Advanced Technology Division and China Hanbang (Jiangyin) Petrochemical Co., Ltd. jointly announced that Hanbang will produce 600,000 tons of refined terephthalic acid (PTA) devices successfully. According to the licensing agreement signed between the two parties, Hanbang’s PTA device uses INVISTA's technology. Talking about this project, Mike Pickens, general manager of INVISTA's advanced technology department, said: "The successful drive of this PTA installation is a new milestone in the long-term relationship between INVISTA and Jiangyin Chengxing Industrial Group. Within a few days after the operation, the device has exceeded the design capacity, continuing the good reputation of INVISTA's drive reliability and continuous and efficient operation of the PTA device." It is reported that Hanbang (Jiangyin) Petrochemical Co., Ltd. is a joint venture funded by Jiangyin Chengxing Industrial Group Co., Ltd. and Hong Kong Hanbang Petrochemical Co., Ltd.
