· More than 30,000 yellow-label vehicles and old cars in Lu'an City will be eliminated before the end of the year

Recently, it was learned from the Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau that according to the requirements of the provincial government's “Aviation Plan for Accelerating the Yellow Label Vehicles and Old Vehicles in Anhui Province”, Lu'an City ensured the elimination of 34,866 vehicles at the end of 2014 and strived to eliminate 38,253 vehicles. By the end of 2015, the yellow-label car registered before the end of 2005 will be eliminated; by the end of 2017, the yellow-label car in the city will be eliminated.
It is reported that the yellow standard car is another name for vehicles with high pollution emissions. According to the statistics report of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, motor vehicle pollution is an important cause of ash, while the yellow-label car, which accounts for 13.4% of the car's possession, emits 81.9% of fine particles. Therefore, limiting and eliminating yellow-label vehicles is the focus of promoting vehicle pollution prevention and control.
