Cummins seems to be trying to introduce more of the world's latest technologies into China, especially in the light diesel engine sector. The protagonist of the introduction of a new series of small turbochargers - Wuxi Cummins Turbo Technology Co., Ltd. began production of diesel turbochargers in 1996. By October 27, 2010, its production volume has exceeded 500, and has become One of the major suppliers of medium and heavy diesel engine manufacturers in China. Now, the new demands of light-duty diesel engines have led them to shift their attention to the production of small turbochargers.

From a global perspective, customers are increasingly demanding diesel engines, emission regulations are increasingly stringent, and the pressure to reduce fuel consumption is also increasing. This is also the original intention of Cummins to develop a new series of supercharger that can meet the above requirements and is suitable for 2 to 5 liters of light diesel engines with strong power and excellent reliability. China's market demand is also in line with international trends, even facing greater pressure in the international commitment to energy conservation and emission reduction.

In 2008, China National Light Commercial Vehicles fully implemented the National III emission standards. In the next few years, this standard will soon be upgraded to the National IV phase. The excellent turbocharging technology can make the fuel more fully burned in the engine, not only improving the performance of the engine, but also reducing the emission of nitrogen oxides. This is the solution to the upgrade of the light diesel engine technology in the future. What is even more troubling is that the scale of China's light commercial vehicle market and the number of manufacturing companies are still expanding.

China has become the world's largest light commercial vehicle market. Millions of light commercial vehicles are sold in this market each year, and light commercial vehicles have maintained an average annual growth of more than 10% in the past five years.
