2018 Lake County Fire Expo

The 22nd annual Lake County Fire Safety Expo took place on Saturday, May 18th at Gurnee Mills. The event was a huge success, drawing in families and fire safety enthusiasts from across the county.
Over four hours, various fire departments and emergency services showcased their equipment and skills. Visitors had the chance to see fire trucks, rescue gear, and even watch live demonstrations. Highlights included a presentation by the Waukegan Fire Department Bomb Squad, a high-angle rescue demonstration from the Lake County High Angle Rescue Team, and an auto extrication demo. There was also a live fire drill where firefighters demonstrated how they handle real emergencies.
