At present, the ratio between China's total auto parts output value and the total automobile production value of the auto manufacturing industry is only 1:0.7, which is far below the international standard of 1:1.7. The auto parts industry has great potential. The establishment of industrial alliances and the establishment of public service platforms to lead the decentralized parts and components companies have become a top priority for the development of the industry.

China is currently the world’s largest automobile production and marketing country, attracting worldwide attention. The rapid development of the Chinese automobile industry is gradually changing the focus of the global automotive manufacturing industry. The global financial crisis triggered by the US subprime mortgage crisis has affected the real economy in many countries, and the international transfer of auto parts industry has accelerated.

According to statistics, at present, the number of auto parts enterprises in China has reached more than 200,000 and the number of employees is close to 10 million. In 2010, the total output value of the Chinese auto parts industry exceeded 1.5 trillion yuan, and the import and export volume reached 37.3 billion US dollars. The dual demand for auto parts in auto after-sales service and automobile manufacturers will drive the industry to maintain an average annual growth rate of around 20%-30%.

“China’s auto parts have become the world”, said Chen Weinong, secretary of the party committee and vice president of the China National Automotive Industry Corporation, during an exclusive interview with reporters.

At the same time, in Chen Weinong's view, along with the rapid growth of the Chinese auto market, the domestic auto parts industry has gradually grown. During this period, a series of small and medium-sized enterprises flocked to join the automotive industry. At present, many SMEs have encountered a series of difficulties due to the economic environment. The fragile existence of small and medium-sized enterprises is subject to certain shocks.
"So, soberly understanding the current state of survival and opportunities is critical to the future development of China's auto parts companies," said Chen Weinong.

SME Opportunities

"China's auto parts companies are relatively weak. At present, more than 90% of auto parts companies are small and medium-sized enterprises. In recent years, the country's policies have begun to tilt towards small and medium-sized enterprises, which is good for auto parts companies. "Signature," Chen Weinong told reporters that the changes in the global automotive industry and the rapid development of China's auto market have provided historical opportunities for domestic auto parts companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises. Under the new situation, the state has paid more attention to the development of SMEs, increased the support of SMEs, and introduced a series of new policies. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will also position the year 2012 as the Year of Service for SMEs. The future development of component SMEs offers opportunities.

According to statistics, the number of motor vehicles in China has maintained a relatively rapid growth in the past five years, with an average annual increase of 15.91 million vehicles. In 2011, the production and sales of automobiles in China reached more than 18 million vehicles and the vehicle ownership exceeded 100 million vehicles. There are more than 1 million vehicles in 14 cities across the country, of which Beijing has more than 5 million vehicles.

"More popular in foreign countries" DIY, but domestic cars have problems, Metropolis to 4S shop, but because 4S shop is limited by maintenance personnel's expertise, sense of responsibility, ethics and other issues, resulting in a lot of car expertise People will try to solve problems by themselves." Chen Weinong analyzed that at present, all the automotive trade in the world is considering China as the first market. After the automobile entered the homes of ordinary people, many consumers began to care about and understand the car, which indirectly increased the public's attention to auto parts.

"After more than 30 years of development, especially in the last 10 years, following the rapid and steady growth of China's auto market, the overall strength of China's auto parts industry has been greatly enhanced. Around the complete vehicle support and international market, the country has formed Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei, Northeast, and Sichuan-Chongqing. The six major parts and components of the two lakes, the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta and other production bases and 12 national-level auto parts export bases,” Chen Weinong told reporters that the development of China’s auto parts industry will be crucial to the development of China’s auto industry.

It is understood that in a fully mature international automotive market, 50%-60% of profits are generated in the automotive aftermarket service sector. According to the standards of international operation, the scale of the vehicle and parts of the automotive industry should be 1:1.7. According to the available data, the total output value of the auto parts industry in China cannot exceed the total industrial output value of the auto manufacturing industry, and the scale ratio of the two is only 1:0.7. From this point of view, China's auto parts industry still has great potential.

Industry alliance makes up for short board

“Of course, Chinese auto parts companies face their own opportunities and at the same time, their own living conditions also deserve our attention.” Chen Weinong told reporters that Chinese auto parts manufacturers are fully capable of producing quality that is comparable to that of the United States, Germany, and Japan. Automobile parts and components, but due to long-term individual combat and lack of effective alliances, China's automobile parts and components small and medium-sized enterprises have insufficient investment in R&D, small-scale production, and insufficient technical level. They are unable to compete with international multinational parts companies and are vulnerable to the economic environment. Impact.

According to Chen Weinong, car consumers are most concerned about the reliability of automobiles. At the same time, the guarantee of reliability is mainly reflected in the parts and components of automobiles. At present, the status quo of China's auto parts enterprises is that the degree of concentration is not high, and the pursuit of low prices is excessive. “As an automotive component, to ensure its reliability, it requires a certain production cost. The blind reduction in prices will inevitably affect the quality of the product. As consumers become more aware of cars, they increasingly understand the auto parts. This kind of product is no longer competitive."

In addition, Chen Weinong further explained that the domestic automotive industry has a misunderstanding of the understanding of auto parts products: the same auto parts product, the same quality, must be lower than the prices of foreign companies' products. This kind of unfair cognition is difficult to achieve simply by relying on a certain company. To break this kind of monopolistic and unfair inertial understanding, we need the government, society, industry, and enterprises to jointly face.

“However, at present, it is still difficult to solve these problems.” Chen Weinong told reporters that because of the large number of auto parts companies, the channel for policy appeals is currently not open, and the country can only hear the appeals of large-scale enterprises or vehicle companies. . Therefore, through the establishment of the Auto Parts Industry Alliance, a public service platform dedicated to the service of small and medium-sized auto parts enterprises in China will be established. By promoting mutual cooperation between enterprises, the national (government and society) auto parts will be enhanced. It is particularly important for companies to pay attention and lead the healthy and orderly development of the auto parts industry.

According to Chen Weinong, during the 9th China International SME Expo, the Auto Parts Exhibition Organizing Committee will hold the “China Automotive Parts Industry Development High Level Policy Forum” and “China and Foreign Auto Parts Industry Cooperation Dialogue” “China Auto Parts and Components. A series of activities, such as the Industrial Alliance Preparation Association and China Auto Parts Industry Financing Service Platform, pay attention to the survival conditions of small and medium-sized enterprises of auto parts and components, consolidate the strength of auto parts SMEs, and build up their own specialties for auto parts industry SMEs. Service Platform. To provide auto parts SMEs with product display and market docking, promote product upgrading and technology upgrades, and promote financial institutions to provide funds and other related services.

Another highlight of this year's China International Auto Parts Expo is the task investigation and research task of the Auto Parts Exhibition Organizing Committee according to the “Study on the Status Quo and Policies for the Survival of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Auto Parts in China” issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. September in 2000 in Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shandong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, Guangdong, Sichuan and other 12 provinces and Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing and other four municipalities. The SMEs launched targeted research and went deep into the grassroots to understand the actual situation of China's auto parts SMEs, and the relevant results (partial) were released during the Expo to provide basic data for the country to formulate relevant policies for auto parts SMEs.
