Still & Box Alarm fire in Chicago, 4/15/15

This is a report from Dennis McGuire, Jr.

I arrived at the scene around 6 a.m. on Saturday to capture some photos of a fire that had just occurred. Engine Company 115 was the first engine on the scene and discovered heavy smoke coming from an unoccupied, single-story, 150 by 100-foot grocery store. Upon entering the building, firefighters found the fire to be in the loading dock area with no structural involvement yet.

Itâ€™s always interesting to see how quickly the fire department responds and how they handle these situations. Iâ€™ve been documenting fires in Chicago for several years now, and each one tells a different story.
