Considering domestic "wind" conditions will not copy foreign standards

The reporter learned from an interview with Zhao Xiaodong, vice president of the Changzhou Coatings Chemical Research Institute on December 1 that the wind power coating national standard Wind Farm Coatings Protection and Construction Specification led by the Changzhou Paint & Chemical Research Institute has applied for approval from the National Standards Commission. .

It is understood that with the explosive growth of China's wind power industry in recent years, the development space for wind power coatings is also expanding. However, there is currently no national standard for wind power coatings in the paint industry in China. Currently, there are only a few standards related to wind turbine blades, wind turbine safety, and wind turbine towers in wind turbines. Zhao Xiaodong said that the part of these standards involving paint is not comprehensive, and unlike the foreign standards, there are provisions on all aspects of anti-corrosion technology. This results in the current domestic paint companies lacking a clear technical reference in researching and developing wind power coatings. Usually, they rely on their own understanding and some requirements provided by manufacturers to formulate corporate standards, and the standards of various companies are uneven, resulting in the emergence of The product quality is not the same.

However, Zhao Xiaodong said that because of the different geographical environment, domestic standards will not completely copy foreign standards. For example, wind power blade coating standards. Because modern large-scale wind blades mainly originate in the Baltic Sea and the countries near the North Sea in Central and North Europe, they are strongly affected by the warm currents of the North Atlantic Ocean. They are mainly warm and humid temperate maritime monsoon climates, and their characteristics are characterized by high water content, sediment concentration and dust. The amount is extremely low. Therefore, their blade coating standards use rain erosion as their main detection index. In China, the main wind field is located in the impact area of wind and sand, with little rain and drought. The damage of the peripheral system of the wind turbine mainly comes from the erosion of wind and sand. Therefore, the foreign wind power coating standards are not suitable for China's actual conditions.

The reporter learned that many companies in the industry are waiting for the development of national standards for wind power coatings. Some enterprises believe that national standards should be adapted to local conditions when they are formulated, and fully take into account the environmental differences in the distribution of wind farms in South and North China. For example, the damage to wind turbines in northern wind farms mainly comes from the erosion of sand. The wind turbines in the south suffer from water vapor erosion. The threat of offshore wind power comes from seawater corrosion and salt fog and water vapor. Zhao Xiaodong stated that these ideas and suggestions will be taken into account in the development of the national standard. The standard setting working group will take care of all issues and ensure that the standards that will be issued at the time will enable the paint companies to have a clear technical reference when developing related products. In order to meet the needs of users of high-quality products, but also regulate and guide the market and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the wind power coating industry.
