Buffalo Grove FF Diagnosed with Cancer

FAMILY AND FRIENDS ARE COMING TOGETHER TO SUPPORT RYAN MCCARTHY IN HIS BATTLE AGAINST CANCER.

Ryan McCarthy, 25, is a firefighter and paramedic from Buffalo Grove, Illinois. He's also a proud father to his two-year-old son, Liam. Recently, Ryan was diagnosed with B-cell Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, and he's about to start a three-month treatment plan involving six rounds of chemotherapy.

The funds raised will help cover:

• Medical expenses, including prescriptions and chemotherapy
• Transportation to and from the Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago
• Housing support for Ryan’s mother, who has Multiple Sclerosis and relies on disability income
• Nutrition and healthy food for Ryan during his treatment
