By integrating AI, this platform aims to help teams extract valuable insights from their project data, enabling them to make informed decisions early on, collaboratively and with confidence. As data flows seamlessly from design through construction to operations, a centralized industry cloud for AECO will foster unprecedented levels of collaboration and innovation. We’re thrilled to share these advancements at Autodesk University (AU) 2023. One of the key highlights of our platform is the integration of AI-powered solutions that span the entire lifecycle of a building, from initial design to final construction. AI serves as a powerful tool that enhances human creativity and productivity by automating repetitive tasks and analyzing vast amounts of data. For example, our recently introduced InfoDrainage with the ML Deluge Tool is specifically designed to help civil engineers predict flood maps accurately during rainfall simulations. This not only speeds up the design process but also allows engineers to focus on creating more sustainable and resilient drainage systems. Another exciting development is the introduction of Forma, which offers AI-driven predictive analyses to aid architects and urban planners in designing energy-efficient buildings. Features like Rapid Noise Analysis, Rapid Wind Analysis, and Rapid Operational Energy Analysis provide early-stage insights that can significantly impact the final design and energy performance of a building. Moreover, we’ve incorporated AI into drafting workflows, making the process faster and more accurate. AutoCAD 2024 introduces Markup Assist, which uses machine learning to update existing text, convert shapes into AutoCAD objects, and interpret markup instructions. Smart Blocks Replacement is another feature that simplifies the search for specific blocks by offering AI-driven suggestions. Looking further downstream, Construction IQ, part of Autodesk Construction Cloud, continues to enhance construction workflows by identifying risks and improving worker safety. Additionally, AutoSpecs in ACC automates the generation of submittal logs, drastically reducing the time needed for this traditionally labor-intensive task. At the heart of our platform lies the Autodesk Data Model, which ensures that data is granular, accessible, and well-structured. This model breaks down files into smaller data subsets, allowing for targeted data sharing and enabling developers to extract maximum value from the data. A new data model API for AEC is now available in public beta, starting with Revit, and will eventually extend to other applications like Civil 3D. This API empowers users to deliver timely, structured data to the right stakeholders, create intuitive user experiences, and tailor workflows to meet diverse needs. In addition to these developments, we’re enhancing our Construction Cloud with new features like the updated Model Viewer and Work Planning, both in private beta. The Model Viewer allows field teams to access BIM models instantly on mobile devices, overcoming challenges posed by large file sizes. Work Planning introduces functionality to quickly adjust schedules when unforeseen circumstances arise, ensuring projects stay on track.
